Florida Today Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Florida Today is the major daily newspaper serving Brevard County, Florida. The Gannett corporation started the paper in 1966.In addition to its regular daily publication, Florida Today publishes three weekly community newspapers which are tailored for the North, South and Central areas within Brevard County. Average daily circulation ($1.25/issue) of the main publication is 54,021, with Sunday circulation ($3.50/issue) 89,328 (2013).[3][1] Circulation of the paper tends to be higher in the winter, lower in summer.

T.M. shared in Yelp "The worst paper ever! Sports section is ridiculous! Not worth to have thrown up on my lawn!" While Jerry D. wrote "The service at this newspaper is Unbelievably bad! I was a home delivery subscriber for over 24 years and for the last 4 years, the delivery service was terrible. I was lucky to receive a paper 4 days out of seven, even though I had a seven-day subscription. Whenever I tried to deal with their customer service 1-800 dept. it was always a waste of my (alot of) time"

Harold R also complained because 90% of the content are advertisements of mattresses, cars and real estate, and finally the wait time for customer service is deplorable.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Florida Today full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Where to begin....some senior management is as bad as it gets. If you're not one of the favored people (i.e. someone who doesn't suck up) you might as well leave. Those who don't do a lot of work seem to get preferential treatment to those who work hard in some cases. Similarly, people who don't do a lot of work seem to get paid a lot more than those that do. It's infuriating. The benefits are also absolutely terrible and there's almost always the threat of layoffs."

"I worked at Florida Today full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Bottom-of-the-barrel pay, mistakes are shrugged off, staff gets fired and must compete to get rehired to the same position, editing is sent out of state (a stunner), printing job sent to South Florida and pressmen fired."
